YOUNG ADULTS

We spend 12 years as a child, about a decade as a teenager and the rest of our lives as adults. Adulthood takes up a big portion of our lives. But it's important to remember that our young adults today were but teenagers yesterday. Adulthood brings its own joys and struggles. Young adults start to take on more responsibilities. They settle into a job, get married, have kids and realise all too soon that they're responsible for more than just themselves.

In Shalom, we don't let those young adults go at it alone. Our young adults consist of men and women from the ages of 21 to 35 years old. Not only do we have the usual age-appropriate activities such as Bible studies, camps and outings, the young adults also contribute by facilitating programmes for and engaging children and teenagers. We also have a "Uni" lunch fellowship that brings our university students together.

Young adulthood is a busy phase in anyone's life. We aim to make God the centre of our life as we discover God's purposes for us.
